Imagine a world with absolute truth. Everyone simply talks the truth and the concept of lying is beyond imagination. That’s until Mark (Ricky Gervais) learns that lying can help his mom facing death with comfort, lying can get him enough money to pay his rent and lying gets him out from the loser world to the ‘it’ man that everyone looks up to.
For a comedy, this movie has its moments that make me raise eyebrows, chuckled, did single laughs here and there. Not for the whole movie though. It’s not funny funny, but it’s entertaining for anyone who can appreciate dry humor.
My rating: 3/6
